I got a pretty good deal. 30 bucks a month, not bad. The facility is REALLY nice, it has a pool, sauna, steam room, and spa, in addition to all the standard stuff. Oh, and it also has a huge basketball court. The only thing I don't like about it is that the Europeans seem to have no standards of decency, the European men walk around buck naked in the locker room like we're on a nude beach, I be wanting to tell them, "You're NOT in the Caucas Mountains anymore man, there's standards of decency now". lol
Disgusting....lol.
Today I didn't really know what to do because I haven't had my fitness orientation yet, so I kinda just moved from workout to workout. So NATURALLY the first thing I went to was Bench Press. Now mind you, I was the second strongest person at Fairfax for several years. My max bench was 320 lbs, I weighed 225 when I was benching that. So I was pretty buff. Then I semi-foolishly quit playing football and Fully-Foolishly quit working out, hence my current physical state. lol
I once hit 225 lbs 15 times. That's how many times Lendale White repped it at his pro day in college before he got drafted into the NFL. And I used to be able to rep 185 lbs 25 times. Today, let's just say I lost about half of my strength, lol. It's insane. I couldn't believe how weak I was. It was really sickening. So after doing a few reps of 135 lbs I moved to abs. I started doing sit ups in sets of 20. That was a pretty decent workout. Then I went downstairs and used the treadmill which, of course just further hammered in how out of shape I am lol. I walked a half a mile at a brisk pace and I was pretty winded and my legs got really tight, almost cramped up (I didn't stretch). And then after I stepped off the treadmill I was lightheaded lol. I had to go to the locker room and just watch TV for a while. Oh and to top it all off, I didn't bring/have any water. And I was broke, and it was hot as hell when I got outside, not a good combo.
So yeah, I'm gonna try and go at least 3-4 times a week. I'll do my more intense workouts on Mondays and Wednesdays. I'm not sure if I'm gonna be going on Fridays. But I'm gonna take a cycling class on Saturday mornings.
Oh and I DEFINITELY need an Ipod or MP3 player cause they got me listening to that nastiness (T-Pain, Akon, Beyonce, etc.) while I work out. Not cool. They had ya boy singing "I got my drink and my 2 step" today, and nodding my head to it. lol. It's like mesmerizing, the beats, but all that spews from their lips is nastiness and fallacies. I need to make a playlist with some Dead Prez, Immortal Technique, stuff to pump me up. Cas that "Drank and my 2 Step" aint working out. lol
So if anyone wants to join 24 hour fitness let me know, I can get you the same deal I got, cas today was the last day of the special, but they said if I bring people in, they can get the deal, and I get half off my monthly charge lol.
